August is a month for Prompts #12
8/12: Green
In the middle of the New World a single vessel sailed on the waves of the last half of the grand line. A black flag with a straw hat Jolly Roger whipped in the wind as the crew relaxed on the deck.
“Nami-swannnnnnnnn!” Sanji crooned as he sped toward her with a drink in his hand.
Nami accepted the pink drink topped with whipped cream. Suddenly a shadow engulfed the ship and everyone looked up. A smooth white spacecraft plummeted towards them.
Snap!
The ship vanished from above them and splashed beside it causing the waves to slap against the hull. The captain of the ship, Straw Hat Luffy dashed to the portside with stars in his eyes.
“It’s a spaceship,” Robin whispered.
“I suddenly feel the I-don’t-wanna-see-aliens plague setting in,” Ussop said as he trembled behind the mast.
“I don’t want to be probed,” Brook said, “But then again there's nothing to prob because I’m a skeleton! Yohohoho!”
A sinister aura oozed from the sleek white ship. Luffy, Sanji, Zoro, and Ussop instinctively prepared for battle. A hatch on the ship slid open and a tall thin man with yellow circle framed shades and silver buns on his head smiled and waved.
“Hello dear, mind telling us where we are?”
“The ocean,” Luffy responded matter of factly.
“Oi Luffy,” the green haired man on the ship stepped forward and said, “Be careful
“Eh?”
Zoro unsheathed his sword just in time to block a sudden attack. A woman wearing a black shirt and combat boots wielding a dagger had blitzed him. He smirked and flexed in response to her power. She suddenly kicked off his blade and flipped in midair.
“Tonja!” The silver-haired man called out, “What’s the meaning of this?”
“I’m having fun Captain Mine!” She responded with the mirth and giddiness of a child.
She and Zoro began a chain of clashes that sent black sparks flying. Tonja didn’t stop her assault, she knew it was best to keep him on defense with one sword. Just as she gained momentum she had to lean backwards and avoided the draw of his second blade. She kicked upwards but he evaded her counter.
He smirked at her and said, “You're strong.”
“You are too,” she responded, she produced a second dagger and bounced on the balls of her feet in the sky.
“Oi, moss head! She knows the skywalk,” Sanji yelled.
Zoro put a bandanna on his head and unsheathed his third sword and placed it between his teeth. A demonic aura began to swirl around him as he took his stance, “Shut up bullseye brow! Santoryu...”
Tonja’s eyes started to glow with red arrows, storm clouds began to swirl overhead as she dropped both daggers and produced two more. She kicked up the first two daggers and began a deadly juggling act. Zoro roared something and blitzed Tonja. As he moved towards her she started to kick the daggers in his direction. He evaded the first four with ease and smiled when suddenly eighteen other daggers soared towards him in every direction. He was forced to deflect them one by one. Tonja appeared over him and thrust her leg down like a meteor.
Snap!
Tonja disappeared and a hole opened in the ocean causing a whirlpool to form. Zoro’s attack powered through her dagger's assault and cut the whirlpool in half.
“Ooooooooooooooooohhhhhh!” Luffy exclaimed, “That was so cool.”
“Heh?” Zoro looked back to the Thousand Sunny to see the silver haired man with his arm over Luffy’s shoulder.
“Zoro! They brought meat!” Luffy called out to him waving the meat over his head. Sanji danced across the ship between the guests and the Straw Hats.
Zoro sheathed his swords, plopped down on the smooth white spacecraft and folded his legs. A shadow appeared over him and Tonja stood in the air with two giant mugs of sake.
“I’m Tonja Storm, Quartermaster of the Hummingbirds care to drink?” She asked with a smile, a scar across her lips made his left eye twitch.
“Sure!”
She handed him the mug and tapped hers against his. Together they drank and laughed. The whistling sound of a cannonball heading towards them filled the air. Tonja and Zoro reacted and cut the cannonball to ribbons causing an explosion in the air. The Hummingbirds and Straw Hats realized they were surrounded by the Marines.
Luffy started to chuckle, “A good fight after a feast is the best!”
“I couldn’t agree more dear,” Mine said beside him, “Mind if we join you?”
“Not at all,” Luffy said, he placed his thumb in his mouth and began to inflate it ten times its regular size. Gear third!”
Mine laughed maniacally as he watched the rubber boy with the straw hat boy launch off his ship with a smile on his face into the heart of battle.
